Description

CERESIT® CT 82 mortar is used to insulate the external walls of buildings using polystyrene boards. It is a component of complex external wall insulation systems (ETICS) of CERESIT Ceretherm buildings. CT 82 mortar is used both for fixing EPS and XPS polystyrene boards, as well as for making a reinforced protective layer when insulating newly erected buildings and undergoing thermal renovation. CERESIT CT 82 SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Fixing EPS-boards: CERESIT CT 82 shows good adhesion to carrying, compact and dry substrates. The adhesion to the existing plasters and paint coatings should be checked before starting the application. Reinforced layer application: when CT 82 is set (after approx. 24 hours), the boards should be ground with abrasive paper and additionally fixed with mechanical anchors.

APPLICATION OF CERESIT CT 82

CERESIT CT 82 should be poured into cool clean water and stirred until the homogenous mass is obtained. Fixing EPS-boards: the mortar should be applied along the board edges and the board should be pressed to the wall. Reinforced layer application: the mortar should be spread along the surface of the EPS boards. The glass fibre mesh should be applied on the fresh mortar, and than smoothed the surface so that it is not be visible.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE WHEN USING CERESIT CT 82

When applying the reinforced layer, do not work walls in direct sunlight and protect the completed layer from rain. The works should be carried out in dry conditions, at the temperature air and substrate temperature from +5°C to +25°C. Skin and eyes should be protected. If the material comes into contact with your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water and seek the advice of a doctor.
