Floors in industrial and commercial buildings are always subject to heavy-duty service conditions. If high or even extreme loads and stresses can be expected, rubber flooring is the product of choice. But even this type of covering can only produce the desired results if the substrate has been properly prepared to meet the expected demands. When undertaking renovation projects, time is often a crucial factor. Because time is money. Fast rubber renovation system ensures reliable bonding of the components – with each other and with the substrate – even on concrete floors with high residual moisture.
Mechanically clean the concrete floor (preferably by sanding or shotblasting), vacuum it off and pretreat it with R 740 1-component PUR Fast Barrier Primer. Apply two coats to seal the surface against high residual moisture. Finally finish it off with a third coat of R 766 Multi- Purpose Primer instead of the time-consuming quartz sand sprinkling.
Level the floor off with XXL XPRESS Rapid Levelling Compound. It features high compressive strength and is ready to receive flooring after 90 minutes. By contrast, traditional levelling compounds have much longer drying times of 24-72 hours.
Finally bond the rubber flooring with R 710 Polyurethane Adhesive.
