CERESIT® CM 9 is a standard cement-based tile adhesive for laying ceramic tiles and slabs with profiled backing in interior areas. CM 9 can be applied on compact, solid and load-bearing substrates without adhesion-reducing substances (greases, dust, bituminous coatings, residues of black insulation, paint coatings, etc.). Highly recommended for ceramic, glazed, terracotta and porcelain tiles.Available pack size: 25 kg.
Before applying CERESIT CM 9 make sure to properly prepare the substrate. Substrate should not be wet and cement and concrete screeds must be fully cured prior to application. Any existing dirt, loose debris and coatings should be removed mechanically. Surface unevenness of up to 5mm can be filled on the previous day using CM 9 tile adhesive.
Mix CERESIT CM 9 (25kg bag) with 6L of water using a slow speed drill until homogenous mass without lumps is obtained. Leave for 2 minutes and then mix again.
Apply CERESIT CM 9 with a suitable notched trowel on the substrate, size of trowel teeth depends on the tile size. Adhesive should cover at least 65% of the back of the tile. Place tiles only during open time of adhesive and take care to have same width of grouts dependable on size of tiles and exposure conditions.
CERESIT CM 9 is suitable to be used for indoor tile application which includes wet areas with periodic water penetration such as bathrooms, kitchen, toilets, and utility rooms like cellars, corridors, stairs, living rooms and similar. CM 9 is used for ceramic, glazed, terracotta and porcelain tiles.
