CERESIT® CL 51 Waterproofing coating is a 1-component membrane that provides excellent results in substrate preparation for tiling. CL 51 is recommended for use under ceramic tiles in humid areas such as bathroom, kitchen, toilets. It is suitable to be used in systems with floor heating. Easy and simple use, fast drying CL 51 provides tiling ready substrate only 4 hours after applying second coating layer.Available pack size: 5 kg and 15 kg
CERESIT CL 51 is applicable to all solid, wearable, stable and clean substrates which are ready for laying ceramics and cleaned from bonding affecting substances (e.g. separating agents, particles, dust, grease or dirt). The upper surface must be sufficiently flat and without cracks.
Apply CERESIT CL 51 undiluted using a brush, roller or trowel. Two coats are necessary to create waterproof layer. The second layer can be applied after 2 hours from the application of the first layer. After approximately 4 hours (depending on the installation conditions) substrate is ready for tiles installation.
After making sure that second layer of CERESIT CL 51 is dried and dependable on the installation conditions, proceed with the tile installation by using flexible tiles adhesives CM 16 or CM 17, CM 12 and CM 2 It is recommended to always secure joints and edges with sealing tape CERESIT CL 152, sealed to the first layer and covered by second layer of CL 51.
CERESIT CL 51 is a waterproofing coating, super flexible and fast drying and it is used for sealing under the ceramic tiles in humid and wet conditions, such as bathrooms, toilets and kitchens. CL 51 is suitable for application on different substrates types.
CERESIT CL 51 is not suitable for use in swimming pools, as well as on surfaces that are in a constant contact with water, old ceramic tiles, asphalt concrete and painted surfaces.
Use CERESIT CL 51 only in dry conditions and at temperatures of +5 °C to +30 °C. All listed data were measured at temperatures of +23°C and relative humidity of 50%. Rear surface moisture and exposure to chemicals must be permanently excluded. CL 51 adheres to all dry, solid, load-bearing, dimensionally stable, clean surfaces which are ready for covering and free of substances which can cause separation. Depending on weather conditions, drying and curing of CL 51 can be faster or slower.
