CERESIT® CL 152 is a sealing, waterproof tape suitable for expansion joints and deformed joints between ceramic tiles. CL 152 is recommended to be used indoor and outdoor in humid areas. It is tension and chemical resistant, easy-to-use and flexible. Can be used in kitchens, on balconies and on terraces. Available size: 120 mm x 5 m, 120 mm x 10 m, 120 mm x 50 m.
The substrate must be solid, dry, clean and free of substances that may impair adhesion. A few isolated cracks in the screed do not cause a problem as long as the crack edges are leveled. Before applying the CL 152 membrane, pipe penetrations as well as wall and floor connections (gullies etc.) should be waterproofed with the pre-fabricated CERESIT system components.
The tape CL 152 is placed between the layers of sealing materials. The first layer should be applied, then the tape should be pressed and immersed into the second layer of the sealing material. In case of sealing the expansion gaps the tape should be pressed into the gap and the hollow should be formed to ensure the possibility of deformation.
After installing the membrane on wall areas, ceramic tiles and slabs can be fixed directly without any waiting time or further priming coat.
CERESIT CL 152 is a waterproof sealing tape for expansion joints and deformed joints between ceramic tiles. CL 152 is used for application in kitchens, on balconies and on terraces as material to be placed between layers of sealing materials.
Tape CERESIT CL 152 is used for reinforcing flexible watertight layers CERESIT CL 50, CL 51, CR 166 and for seal coating CERESIT CR 90 at the places of connection with horizontal edges, expansion gaps, etc.
Application of CERESIT CL 152 should be performed in dry conditions with an ambient temperature from +5 to +25°C. Given data was obtained at an ambient and material temperature of +23° C and 50 % relative air humidity. Please note that under other climatic conditions hardening can be accelerated or delayed and that the product itself is subject to local conditions such as amount of water and hardening.
