CERESIT® DX is a cement based levelling compound that creates a self-levelling fluid mass ideal for correcting imperfections on several floors such as concrete, plaster or cement mortars, ceramic tile, natural stone, epoxy coatings, and old substrates with firmly stuck adhesive residues. Compatible with the use of CERESIT adhesives for the placement of the final finish.Available pack size: 25 kg
The substrates must be clean, crack-free, sound, dry, and free of substances that may impair adhesion and must comply with the current relevant local standards. Before applying the levelling compound, pre-treat the surface with the recommended primers CERESIT R 777 and R 766.
For the preparation of a 25 kg (55.12 lb.) bag, measure and pour 6.5 litres (72 gal) of water in a container. By stirring up, slowly add a CERESIT DX bag. Use a mixer or a drill with 650 rpm-speed fitted with appropriate blades or disks. Mix for 2 minutes, stop the mixing, scrape the walls and the bottom of the mixing vessel and mix for 2 more minutes until you get a smooth mixture free of lumps.
Pour the self-levelling mixture by sections and uniform parts immediately in a given area depending on the expected performance and in accordance with the calculated thickness. Apply the levelling compound with a toothed squeegee or smoothing trowel to achieve a uniform thickness. Pass a roller repeatedly in both directions; this also helps to have a better product distribution. Let it dry for about 4 to 6 hours for foot traffic, and 24 hours to apply the desired finish.
CERESIT DX can be used on mineral screeds, concrete, tiles and slabs, natural stone and Terrazzo, old substrates with water-resistant, firmly adhering adhesive residues, mastic asphalt screeds IC 10 – 15.
Only use in dry indoor areas. Do not use CERESIT DX as screed or wearing surface. CERESIT DX meets the highest requirements for indoor air quality and environmental compatibility.
Wait until the applied product is completely dry before continuing with the next steps. For this purpose, ensure favourable climatic conditions (recommended: 50 % rel. humidity, 20 °C) and adequate air circular- circulation.
